The Song Bo River was near LZ Sally in Thua Thien Province, I Corps, and joined the Perfume River north of Hue. The
river and its valley provided a convenient VC/NVA infiltration route to coastal lowlands of north of Hue. 2nd Bde pulled
security at An Lo Bridge
which crossed the Song Bo in 68. During Operation Carentan II in Apr 68, 2nd
Bde conducted sweeps along river northwest of Hue that netted 200 NVA KIA.
