Approximately 28 km due W of Hue, 15 km SW of Camp Evans and 10 km due N of FSB Maureen in Thua Thien Province,
I Corps; Was intended to interdict NVA infiltration routes along Serges Jungle Highway.
Possibly built shortly after 1 FEB 70 with B-2/501st here Apr 70. Apparently penetrated by sappers in Feb or Mar 70
and again on night of 29 APR 70. Sappers led the way for 2 Infantry Batallions but the NVA Infantry never got rolling
because pre-planned arty fire decimated the units as they waited at base of hill for assault to begin.
