"Back then it was eerie to see you step from the huey, as I was already in the Nam. You briefly looked at me but did not acknowledge me until later. From basic in Ft Lewis when we first met, you were the drill and I, the recruit. As I shared with you in Nam, no I was not upset with you; you had a job to do and did it well. Thanks, Drill Sargeant. I was sorry the day I heard you died in the ambush by the NVA along with our other guys. Drive On."
